Spring MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing is rapidly approaching. Mrs. Watson would like you to click here to become more informed!

On March 20th, five Roosevelt students travelled to Des Moines to participate in the State Math Counts Competition. Tessa K., Joyce S., Marcy A., Dottie A., and Casey N. participated in three rounds of testing amongst the top 24 teams in the state of Iowa. As a team they placed 6th and Tessa K. placed 22nd as an individual. The students had a wonderful time with fellow mathletes from George Washington Middle School and enjoyed satisfaction in solving some incredibly challenging problems.

Houses 7-1 & 7-2
Language Arts Newscasts!
7th grade language arts students in Houses 7-1 & 7-2 work with their teachers Mr. Konrardy, Mrs. Stackis, & Mrs. Stanner to create current events newscasts! They wrote the script, developed the stories, found videos, and taped it in our very own television studio! Using real life skills and applying it to their language art lessons! 21st Century Skills at it's finest!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

  Breast Cancer has hit the ERMS Family very closely. Our beloved, Mrs. Hilby (House 8-2, SS teacher) was diagnosed with breast cancer last March. She has been a inspiration to both students and staff through her courageous battle. She was the guest speaker at the Dbq Senior & Hempstead Volleyball Pink Out game.
